We had a fantastic time at the possum & pizza night!
Starting with an informative presentation where we learnt all about our local western ringtail possums and the Torbay Catchment Group’s recent possum survey results and the effects of baiting and trapping on the possum population. The area now covered by the surveys and where possums have been spotted is huge! We could also see how different vegetation types and seasons affected possum behaviour and how to tell the difference between a western ringtail and a brushtail possum at night. We then enjoyed fabulous Cape Cafe pizzas along with great conversations and then bravely ventured into the pouring rain to discover numerous western ringtail possums and even a mother and baby!
