The fabulous Soil Microscopy 2 day workshop was held in May, giving our participants a unique opportunity to delve into the fascinating realm of soil microbiology and the essential role microbes play in soil health, plant vitality, and animal well-being.
Hosted by Torbay Catchment Group in collaboration with Soil Wise and Healthy Estuaries WA, this workshop provided valuable insights into our soil’s biological composition.
We discovered the crucial role microbes play in enhancing soil structure and nutrient availability and gained hands-on experience with a biological microscope, learning to identify different types of microbes.
We also learned techniques to assess the biological health of our soil, equipping us with valuable skills to enhance our farming practices.
Thanks to EarthWhile Australia, a leader in agricultural and environmental soil microscopy training, this workshop was both informative and engaging.
