New funding from Lotterywest 2020-2022

Project area expands to include City of Albany coastal reserves

This year Torbay Catchment Group has received $280,576 in funding from Lotterywest to build and expand upon work aimed at reducing threats to the critically endangered Western Ringtail Possum .

This brings the total value of this project to $927,078 which includes $199,280 from the State NRM office and $477,222 of in kind contributions.

Some of the new funding will be used for feral control and possum surveys through the City of  Albany coastal reserves that link West Cape Howe National Park to the Torndirrup National Park. This funding adds some 2500 hectares of coastal  reserves to the project area. Workshops and events are also part of the funding.
