SUMMARY:1080 Training and Accreditation Workshop
LOCATION:Torbay Hall, Hunwick Road South, Torbay
DESCRIPTION: The Red Fox is classified as one of the most damaging invasive species in Australia. Our native species are being decimated by them, and of particular concern are small animals such as the critically endangered ringtail possum. The Albany area is experiencing increasing attacks on livestock & farm animals, particularly lambs, poultry & small farm animals.

Autumn is one of the best times to control the red fox. Following the inaugural Torbay Community Fox shoot which will be held overnight on Saturday the 24<sup>th</sup> March, The Torbay Catchment Group (TCG) will be holding a series of fox reduction workshops for interested landholders.

<strong><em>For landholders wanting to obtain a permit of up to 5 years for 1080 Baiting on their properties, this Workshop Includes:</em></strong>
<ul>
 	<li>DPIRD Biosecurity Officer assisted 1080 training and accreditation</li>
 	<li>1080 Permit applications to be completed on the day</li>
 	<li>On approval, Torbay Catchment Group will submit and pay for your permit</li>
</ul>
<strong><em>You will require:</em></strong>
<ul>
 	<li>Property size over 10 hectares and not in close proximity to recreational areas or places of public interest</li>
 	<li>Property details provided prior to Wednesday 4th April so property suitability can be assessed</li>
 	<li>A map of your property (hand drawn is ok)</li>
</ul>
<strong>The workshop is FREE to TCG members <a href="https://torbaycatchment.org.au/membership-plans/"><span style="color: #000080;">(membership $5)</span></a> and subject to DPIRD approval, ALL permits completed on the day will be forwarded and PAID for by TCG. </strong>
